Your body isn’t getting any younger. That’s a good thing because if you weren’t getting any older you would have big problems. However nature and gravity are working to pull you back into the ground so you can push up the daisies. It’s a constant battle between you surviving and nature recycling you. The best way to fight nature is to stay healthy and strong. Strength comes from training, either from your activities of daily living that require physical strength that you use regularly, or from working out and training to be stronger.

Surviving the Winter Blues

 

 

The northwest Rocky Mountains can be a challenge to endure if you are not overly excited about winter, the snow and cold, and dark gray days.  The mountains tend to be more like 6 seasons as opposed to 4.  We add falter between fall and winter, and sprinter between spring and winter.  Many who like the snow and enjoy spring skiing or elk hunter before full on winter appreciate the early and late snow, but for those who do not, it adds to the long months of winter. As the days turn warmer and the threat of sprinter (spring/winter) snow showers diminish we look forward to those cherished summer days of fun in the sun here in southwest Montana! Summer fun includes camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, BBQ, horseback riding, outdoor games, rodeo’s, parades and endless summer days. All the fun in the sun is great but we also want to make sure we stay healthy so we can enjoy the fun and not be sitting on the sidelines watching summer pass us by because we don’t feel well.
