Hello! My name is Jessie Scott, I am a public health intern at Bozeman Wellness Center. As a Montana native I grew up on a cattle and horse ranch just north of Browning. While growing up and working on a ranch I learned many things: respect, responsibility, hard work, and always get back on when you get bucked off (which was quite often for me)! As most Montanans do, I love the outdoors! Fishing and chasing that little white ball around the golf course are a couple of my favorite past times. I am currently a third year community health major at MSU. After graduating from MSU I plan to attend nursing school to further benefit my community health degree. I chose the health field because I want my work to be my play. I want to do what I love: help people. For me, nothing surpasses the joy I receive in helping people! Because many of today’s number one health issues are preventable I love that community health takes a preventative approach towards people’s health. My goals are to help people before their health declines, help them improve their health, and help them to maintain their overall wellness.
