Hip Flexor – front of hip

Why Stretch?
Stretching exercises encourage lengthening of your muscles and associated tendons. Short and tight muscles can lead to pressure on nerves and pain. By its effect of lengthening muscles, stretching promotes flexibility and full range of motion about your joints.

Hold the stretch for 15 seconds in each hip 3-4 times per day

Kneel by placing your right knee on the floor and your left foot flat on the floor in front of you and forward of your left knee

Keep posture upright and rest hands on left knee

Do not allow left knee to project forward of your foot

Gently push your hips forward to feel a stretch at the front of your right hip

Repeat for opposite side
